Pink T's Program

The Pink T's program was designed by Sami to assist women that have gone through breast cancer treatment learn to safely and effectively strengthen their entire body. Sami uses her knowledge to address issues, such a treatment related fatigue, surgical issues, and lymphedema as well as exercise habits to improve quality of life. The Pink T's is a 4-week course offered free through Cancer Action. Each participant receives their own stability ball and resistance band and leaves with an exercise plan to continue on their own. This program has been going on since 2004 and has graduated 200 survivors to a stronger healthier life!

Santé Boutique is now offering Pink T’s Introductory Classes

Exercise is an essential part of living a healthy lifestyle, particularly for women affected by breast cancer. Sami Papacek, a certified personal trainer, cancer exercise specialist and wellness educator created the Pink T’s program that provides research updates on exercise and demonstrates effective tips and techniques to help fight fatigue and weight gain, increase energy and metabolism and improve core strength. Santé Boutique will begin offering Pink T’s Introductory Classes in March. The cost of the class is $25. Each class will last 1 ½ hours and includes a stability ball ($30 value). Upcoming dates include:

• March 30: 1-2:30
• April 7: 9-10:30
• April 20: 6-7:30

Effective Exercises for Survivorship

The class will be held June 8th 1-2:30 (location TBD) in the KU Survivorship Center. This lecture will be a fun interactive way to learn about the benefits of exercise for the cancer patient and survivor. More details to be posted soon.
